I’m not sure if wildfire has the capacity to spread faster, but rumors on Xbox 720 sure does! Even the slightest bit of a clue or a hint is enough for us to build a castle of speculations around them. Yes, and this time it is a Microsoft product – Xbox 720! So, here is a preview of the hopefully-upcoming next generation gaming device. Wait! I guess, we should call it a rumor roundup rather than a preview, what do you think? Ok, check them out:
Features:
If the rumors are to be believed, the upcoming product from Microsoft will sport an advanced AMD 7000 chipset and will supposedly have two Graphical Processing Units. According to the sources, the reason why there are present two GPUs are because, both the units will work simultaneously together in rendering different portions of the game to deliver an optimized and a seamless 3D effect. So, this also indicates that the machine is going to get more responsive and we can expect it to be least affected by bugs or glitches. But, on the other hand, what if the game was not a 3D title but a regular one! Will the units be working in shifts or will one of them will be on a full-time sleep mode? Well, we can’t expect any answer to this question as of now or at least till further information about the product officially comes out. Furthermore, the Xbox 720 is also expected to sport a state-of-the-art 16 core Central Processor. Cool!
Also, the device is believed to be equipped with a Blu-ray player and a Digital video Recorder functionality and will also support a video quality of up to 1080p. Though, there are no proper sources that convey the details on storage space for the device, what we can assume from its speculated feature are that the capacity must be obviously higher than the 360. Well, the reason is pretty simple, the inclusion of Blu-ray drives! A standard Blu-ray disk can contain up to 50 GB of data and when you want to store them on your 720, you surely need a laaaarge storage space for sure!
When is it rolling out?
A good thing about questions is that, they are easy to ask! So, as far as the rumors are concerned, Xbox 720 will eventually roll out by the end of 2013, that’s nowhere near now! And, that means, we have to continue gaming in the 360’s.
How much?
When a device is equipped with such amazing features and options, it is obvious that the prices will soar high. But, sources reveal that this gaming console will be priced approximately at around $300, which is quite cheap when compared to its so called specifications.
Name?
Though, the device is already popular as Xbox 720, some people claim that this is not the final name of the product and that the company is still in a fix to come up with a console name. But, people as you know have already begun keeping their preferred names for the device with the best one being Xbox Orb. But, what will Microsoft come up with?
So, that was the preview err… the rumor roundup of the Xbox 720. Gaming with Xbox 720 can be as exciting as playing an american roulette. So, will we get to see that ultimate day, when the product actually rolls out or will we be just spending the rest of our days just wondering about the products? I’ve to use a cliché here – Let’s wait and watch!
