Facebook is the most popular social networking site currently. Facebook not only allows you to stay in touch with your friends and contacts, but also you can easily access your friends’ profiles and check out their updates, see what they are currently doing in life. Accessing profiles helps you to stay updated with the latest buzz in your friends’ life. But it is not only you who can access the profiles. Even others can access your profile as well. You might naturally wonder at times that who might be visiting your profile. Is it a friend? Is it some official contact? Or is it some random unknown person? Knowing who is visiting your profile is also essential if you are concerned with security issues.
There are a lot of applications and web services that are claiming that they will effectively let you know that who might be checking your album; is your ex checking your profile and updates? Or is it your parents who are keeping a private track of your life secretively? These applications claim to give you answers to all these questions. But in reality very few actually do so and at times, none delivers the promise. You will often come across applications and services like:
-
“See who views your profile!”
-
“Stalker Tracker”
However, these applications are usually spam or viruses and they will either mess up with your account or send automated spam messages and posts to your friends. Instead of getting confused and tricked with these applications, you can follow some simple steps to see who views your Facebook profile. Here is what you have to do:
Browser: Choose a browser that is fast and using that open Facebook page and log in to your profile.
News Feed Section: Once you have logged in, go to News Feed and right click on the area and then click “View page source”. Clicking this will open a new page that has a lot of code. Do not get flustered. Just press Ctrl+F. This will bring a small box at the top or bottom of the page where you have to type the word “FriendsList”.
When you type the word “FriendsList” in that small box, the system will automatically search through the source page and will show you the word “FriendsList” in the page. You will see that there a lot of random numbers in several groups and in inverted commas, following this word. These numbers are the profiles of those people who have visited your profile. The arrangement of the numbers is such that it shows how often the people have viewed your profile. So the first group of numbers mean those people who have visited your profile more than the rest.
Now to see the profiles of these people, all you have to do is, type www.facebook.com/ and after the slash copy and paste the group of numbers you want to see. For example, www.facebook.com/4565825697125. This will show you the profiles of all those people who have viewed your profile.
