It comes with a more impressive design, comfortable and secure fit and features. The Alta HR is very lightweight and also supports interchangeable straps. It boasts a slim black screen with white LED lettering. The width of the Alta HR is just 15mm. You can modify the face to display the time in vertical or horizontal direction. The screen of the Fitbit Alta HR dims when it’s not in use. Just tap the face or turn your wrist enabling “quick view” to activate the screen.
One major downside of the device is that you can’t take it in the shower. It is water resistant but only to sweat and rain. There are also choices of three sizes: small, large and XL. Small, which fits wrist sizes 5.5”-6.7”, large, which fits wrist sizes 6.7”-8.1”, or XL, which fits wrist sizes 8.1”-9.3”. The Fitbit Alta band is made of an elastomer. With interchangeable straps, you can customize your Fitbit with different colors, metal bands, or leather bands.

Metal or rose gold band selection can look like a stylish piece of jewelry on your wrist. There is also a leather band for those who prefer the classic look. The screen has not a single physical button and also not touch sensitive. The other main issue with the display is that it sometimes difficult to read in bright conditions. The PurePulse heart rate monitor is located below the device, besides the charging pins.
The device lacks VO2 Max, workout modes, Connected GPS. The HR can accurately measure steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, active minutes and continuous heart rate. The device comes with a one year warranty in case the Alta HR stop working.
Battery & Connectivity
The Alta HR has around a seven-day battery life and it takes about 1-2 hours to fully charge. The software of the HR is the crucial part. Fitbit can be easily synced with phone and computer and with the help of charging cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth you can upload your activities.
