I love watching DVDs and always looked for a smart DVD copy software which can help me back up my DVDs simply, in the way I want. Offcourse, the backup quality better be true to the original DVDs, or outstanding when compression involved. Then I found DVDFab DVD Copy Software, downloaded it and used its full functions free within the 30-day trial period. And I knew it was the one.
DVDFab DVD Copy Software 6 copy modes
Full Disc, Main Movie, Customize, Split, Merge and Clone/Burn are the 6 copy modes of it. I personally use Full Disc and Main Movie for most of the time. Now I’ll show you all the 6 modes in detail.
1. Full Disc: This mode will copy all the content of a DVD in one click.
2. Main Movie: This mode is very useful for copying only the longest movie title, with chapters, audio and subtitles changeable.
3. Customize: In this mode, users are free to select any and more than one titles for backup. Chapters, audio, and subtitles of these titles are also free for selection.
4. Split: This mode is used to split the content of a DVD9 and copy the content to 2 DVD5 with no compression. Users are free to choose how to split the titles.
5. Merge: Users can load more DVD sources in this mode, freely choose the titles for output, and all these titles and sources will be merged into one target disc or digital file.
6. Clone/Burn: This mode is used to clone a DVD bit to bit in 1:1 ratio, with one click.
Copy between discs and digital files, DVD9 and DVD5
I was also impressed that it can handle all sorts of source and output no matter it’s a physical disc, a movie folder or an ISO image file. I can burn my backup collections into discs. I can also back up DVDs on my hard drive when no blank DVD discs at hand.
Now I’d like to say something about copying between DVD9 and DVD5. For a DVD9 to DVD5 copy, the source will be compressed and a compression ratio will appear in front of you. The quality of a compressed output is very excellent. For a DVD5 to DVD9 copy, or a same medium size copy, there will be no compression and the output quality is the same to the source.
It’s easy to use with intuitive step-by-step operation
Just insert the DVD disc into DVD drive, or drag the digital source into the program, then choose a copy mode, select DVD5 or DVD9 as the output medium size, specify a storage path and press Start button. If you choose to copy a DVD to a physical disc, when prompted to insert a compatible disc to start write process, just insert the garget disc. Then leave the rest to DVDFab DVD Copy.
Don’t need to wait in front of your computer
Here is another one neat feature of DVDFab DVD Copy. During the copying process after pressing the Start button, I can set my computer to shut down when the task finished. Other setting options are available like “Exit the program” and “Hibernate”. Just set it the way you like, then you can go away from your computer to do other business.
