The most important thing in your business is the brand. People have to leave your website and remember you, and not in a bad way. When people get the branding right their business can take off. If you don’t stand out you’re just another face in the crowd. One of the most essential pieces of your brand is the graphics on your site. It could be the logo, or even the pictures you use on each article you write.
But unless you’re a huge company I don’t expect you to have the money it takes to hire a full-time designer. Luckily you don’t need to. There’s some great apps for the iPad and they will allow the average person to come up with some pretty neat designs while sitting around at night listening to music. You should give these apps a try and watch them take your business to new heights.
Moodboard Pro
When you’re trying to come up with the perfect design you want somewhere you can keep all your ideas on one screen. It makes it a lot easier to picture your ideal design. With Moodboard Pro you can easily do this with all your inspirational ideas and let them come together in your head. It’s a lot better than going it alone and the final outcome will always be of a higher quality.
Brushes
Brushes takes an entire paint studio and conveniently places it on the screen of your iPad. You have tons of different brush strokes you can use and any painting can be created. Once you’ve come up with something the designs can be easily transferred into different applications where you can add anything to them.
Freeform
Long gone are the days where you would have to scribble everything down on a little piece of paper while you drank your coffee. Freeform is essential if you need to play about with vectors and the price is a steal. It should definitely be in your toolkit if you plan on coming up with quality designs.
PhotoPad
PhotoPad is like Photoshop for the iPad. It’s maybe not as powerful as Photoshop software on your desktop, but unless you are a professional you definitely won’t be able to tell the difference. Any photo manipulation you need done can definitely be achieved with this amazing app.
Artist’s Touch
This is a true application for the newbie artist. Although professionals can use it, the people who will benefit from it the most are people who aren’t used to picking up a brush. It will map out any photo and allow you to come along and paint over it. The end result will be a good looking design you can be proud of.
iDraw
This one might be a little too advanced for you at the minute, but it’s definitely something you want to turn to once you get a bit more experience with your designs. It’s really much more powerful than an app and could easily satisfy someone who is used to using Adobe Illustrator.
