Apple TV 4K is a great standalone streaming gadget that supports Dolby Vision 4K HDR. This competing 4K HDR-capable device support plentiful features includes an easy interface, spectacular picture, and awesome sound and wide range of apps, games, and entertainment. Apple TV 4K is a compact, elegantly-designed black box with rounded corners. The Apple TV 4K has two storage options: 32GB and 64GB. However the 32GB model is fine for moderate usage, but if you’re planning to buy a lot of movies and games, you should get the 64GB model. I really admire the picture quality that Apple TV 4K offers.

It also supports automatic ‘Dark and Light mode’ switching based on the situations. Set up process is simple and fast. You only need to plug in the power cable, connect it to your TV over HDMI. This new version also comes with a new ventilation system, which improves cooling for the device’s powerful new hardware. But the new Apple TV doesn’t support Atmos. And it doesn’t have Disney or Marvel movies in 4K HDR.
Hardware & Performance
The Apple TV 4K is powered by A10X Fusion processor which makes it a speedy product. It is the most powerful, fast and responsive set-top box on the market. Content accessing and switching to Apple TV 4k is more seamless. If your network connection can keep up, load times are rapid, info displays come out instantly when clicked on, and even scrolling through long ribbons of titles is extraordinarily fast.

There are lots of modifications are preserved in this new device. Bluetooth 4.0 is replaced with Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI 1.4 to HDMI 2.o, and the A8 chip to the A10X Fusion chip. A new Home Screen Sync feature helps you to locate which apps you have installed along with the location. The Siri Remote itself looks exactly like its predecessor. The only visible difference is a white ridge around the Menu button. It’s useful to identify if you’re holding the remote correctly.

There is a button for talking, an accelerometer and three-axis gyroscope for playing games, Bluetooth 4.0 and infrared for connectivity, a touch-sensitive pad for navigating tvOS, and a Lightning connector for charging. Siri is the appealing part of the device which works surprisingly well. It is a nice trick to find contents, enter passwords and basic controls like pausing etc.
The menu system is quite neat and clean. The voice control feature of Apple TV 4K is really appealing and useful at times.

Verdict
The Apple 4K TV is a great fit for Apple users or if you have a large library of movies, TV shows, and music from the iTunes store or if you’re concerned in getting excellent quality 4K HDR video. But for other users, the new Roku Ultra or Streaming Stick + can be a better and less expensive option.
